Conceited Metaphor

Life is like an oak tree.
Birth is equivalent to a seed sprouting,
Childhood, to the bark growing taller,
Adulthood, to the branches expanding and the leaves multiplying in color,
And death, to the great tree being chopped down.
But, the life of the oak tree is not yet done,
It has its maker to visit to show off its leaves.
Life is like an oak tree, never complete,
So it starts its new life, as a new cycle, and as a different tree.

  1. "conceited metaphor" ... not exactly
    Metaphysical conceit?

"Conceit" and "conceited" are pretty different things
